On this demonstrator snowshoe, the front of the foot is secured with straps to tighten. A system which nowadays should be avoided because we do better. The heel is tightened either by a rack (very good) or by straps with clips;

The climbing hold is difficult to operate with the poles and you have to bend down to force it.
Articulated fixationpreset at home, once and for all as long as you keep the same pair of shoes.
Mini spiked cramponsare fixed under the snowshoe and allow a comfortable grip on hard snow.
